There is two way…

So, Follow the steps !

  1. Download Eclipse IDE from the link : https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

    Eclipse downloads

    You can choose flavors as per your need. But You must be careful about the your system support 32-bit or 64-bit. And one more thing, Download not interrupted, because it will damage download package, and maybe Eclipse not working properly.

  2. Now, You have downloaded Eclipse package like “eclipse-standard-luna-R-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz” in Download folder. EXTRACT It. And you will get “eclipse” folder.
  3. Now, move it to opt folder.
    PATH :—  /opt/eclipse
    for moving folder follow this command :
    $ cd ~/
    $sudo cp-avr /Downloads/eclipse /opt

    opt folder

    move your eclipse folder in opt folder and change the permissions

  4. Now, setup the permission of the eclipse folder.
    Follow the command :
    $ sudo chmod 777 -R /opt/eclipse
  5. Now, It’s  a Done !
